Family Supports
Wabash Center’s Family Supports program provides support services to individuals in their family homes. The stability of familial relationships is often the most successful way to support a loved one. There are multiple options available to find a good match of staff for the family.
Both Wabash Center and the family can interview potential caretakers.
Family can refer a preferred caregiver to be hired and serve as the caregiver.
Family members can be hired as staff to work with their loved one.
Wabash Center supports approximately two hundred families in the Greater Lafayette area and Northwest Indiana.
We offer a variety of services, including:
Respite support for family caregivers
staffing supports
teaching daily living skills
social and leisure activities
community experiences
and more!
Wabash Center also offers Structured Family Caregiving. This service is comparable to a foster care model. The caregiver is responsible for daily oversight and support of the individual. Wabash Center oversees the arrangement and monitors the services provided.
Family Supports are offered at our Greater Lafayette and Northwest Indiana locations.
